Arena - Zagreb

Arena Zagreb is a multi-purpose sports hall with accompanying facilities. It is intended as a location of sports, cultural, business and entertainment manifestations. It is located on the western entrance of Zagreb, in the quarter of Lanište. The city of Zagreb together with the Government of the Republic of Croatia invited tenders for construction of a sports hall that would also be a host of the World Handball Championship in January 2009. The seating capacity of the hall is 15200 i.e. 20000 for the purpose of concerts.

The underground garage covers the capacity of 900 parking spaces (plus 80 parking places above-ground, whereas bus transportation is predicted for mass attendance (36 parking places for buses)

Sports events Arena Zagreb is intended for are handball, basketball, volleyball, indoor football, tennis, gymnastics, badminton, box, wrestling, indoor athletics and other indoor sports. The holding out of various concerts, exhibitions, fairs, conventions and congresses has also been made possible. In addition to the above mentioned, accompanying catering, business and commercial facilities have been placed within the building, as well as a small training hall.

The consortium of Ingra (Croatia) and Trigranit (Hungary) has been selected, and their offer was accepted on April 25, 2007.

Ingra and Trigranit consortium engaged UPI-2M d.o.o. project office from Zagreb for the elaboration of preliminary design as well as for elaboration of the entire project documentation required for the construction of the future Arena Zagreb.

D.B.Vent d.o.o. was engaged for the assembly of ventilation systems by Termotehničke Instalacije d.o.o. Samobor, and initiated works on June 19, 2008. The works were finished in November 2008, during which period 60 tons of ventilation lines were built in (the total amount of about 220 tons), 1600 m2 of isolation, as well as a greater number of installable elements such as PPZ, flow regulators, deflectors and similar. The assembly of the ventilation system was executed in all the areas of the Arena, most of which in the engine room and on the roof of the Arena. With an average number of 10 assemblers D.B.Vent d.o.o. contributed to the completion of the works on schedule.
